There are many festivals and events throughout the year that bring our communities together to celebrate and have some fun. Come and join the festivities.
 
Hopedale
Rhubarb Festival - stay tuned for 2020 dates

The annual Rhubarb Festival in Hopedale includes a rhubarb recipe bake off, fishing contests, family events all week, Fear Factor challenges, mini-fairs, and musical entertainment.

Ethel Pijogge Memorial Festival - stay tuned for 2020 dates

The Ethel Pijogge Memorial Festival is a great way to welcome the spring season to Hopedale! Featuring dogteam races, a target shooting competition, musical entertainment, fishing contests, and a variety of outdoor events for all ages.
 
Postville
Fun in the Sun- Stay tuned for 2020 dates

A celebration of summer, Postville's Fun in the Sun event is a family friendly time, featuring a community barbeque and breakfast, a teddy bear's picnic, and many other events.
 
Makkovik
Trout Festival - stay tuned for 2020 dates

If you like trout, the Makkovik Trout Festival is not to be missed. Featuring five days of festivities including a supper serving local trout served smoked, fried, and stewed, a beach volleyball tournament, a rowing race, a children's home-made boat race, a sand sculpture contest, a dance, Battle of the Brains, a scavenger hunt, and local musical entertainment.

Makkovik Jamboree - stay tuned for 2020 dates

A celebration of Makkovik musical talent, the Makkovik Jamboree brings the community together for a fun evening of song and performance. Several local musicians entertain the crowd, and a special guest is usually flown in for the occasion. Door prizes are drawn.
 
Rigolet
Salmon Festival - stay tuned for 2020 dates

People from throughout Labrador plan their summers to make sure they can attend the Rigolet Salmon Festival. Held every year, the festival features a community parade, step dancing and square dancing, a strong man/woman competition, games for all ages, and a community salmon feast and dance.

Tikkiaksaugusik Cultural Festival - Stay tuned for 2020 dates

The Tikigiaksaugusik Cultural Festival is an annual spring festival celebrating traditional and modern activities important to the Rigolet community. Featuring square dancing, dog team racing, a target shooting competition, and carnival games. The Festival concludes with a community feast and dance.
